Want to start a freelance writing business?

PWAC Ottawa is hosting a seminar, open to members and non-members, on how to start your freelance writing business. The two-hour seminar features guest panellists Christine LeBlanc, an experienced communications consultant, and Suzanne Bowness, an established freelance writer and editor who has designed websites for many writers and editors.

Date: Saturday, February 27, 2010
Time: 1-3pm
Location: Ottawa Public Library Main Branch Auditorium, 120 Metcalfe St.
Cost: $25 for the general public or $20 for students/members of writers' organizations. An early-bird discount is available for participants who register online by sending their name and contact information to pwacottawa@gmail.com by February 25th. Discount will be applied at the door.

Door prize: Draw for a one-year PWAC student membership.

PWAC Seminar Nov 21, 1-3pm

The Ottawa Chapter of the Professional Writers Association (PWAC) is holding a seminar featuring speakers on both Writing for the Government (Marion Soubliere) and Direct Response Copywriting (Glen Strathy).

The event will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 1-3pm at the Ottawa Public Library Main Branch Auditorium, 120 Metcalfe, and costs $10 general public or $5 for students/members of writers’ organizations.
