Save the date: Our next PWAC seminar is April 24, 2010 12-2pm

Have you ever wanted to be a technical writer? A proposal writer? A ghost writer?

Attend our spring seminar where guest panellists Kerry Surman, Heidi Lasi and Karen Opas-Lanouette will show you how!

Kerry Surman teaches editing, usability, and document planning and management in the Technical Writer graduate certificate program at Algonquin College. She has worked in technical writing, training, communications, and human resources for a variety of employers and is co-author of the first Canadian edition of Technical Communication: A Reader-Centred Approach. Kerry will be presenting an overview of technical writing.

Heidi Lasi is an award-winning producer, director and writer with more than 20 years of experience in communications. She has worked with the private, public and non-profit sectors on a variety of projects and has written and co-written successful proposals to foundations, corporations and government agencies. Heidi will be discussing everything you need to know about writing an effective proposal.

Karen Opas-Lanouette is an experienced writer and editor-in-chief at Partner Publishing. She is also a seasoned ghostwriter who, over the past three years, has ghostwritten five non-fiction books and is currently ghostwriting two more. Karen will be discussing the ins and outs of the ghostwriting profession, including how to earn a living as an invisible writer.
